Delivery Information
How will my item be delivered?
Your order will be sent as standard unless selected or stated otherwise on Tracked 24 Royal Mail service - Please allow 2-5 working days (excluding Sundays), depending on the chosen service. However, we aim for a 24hr delivery window at all times.
All orders are dispatched by Vets4u by either contracted Courier or Royal Mail, with all UK mainland orders you will automatically receive an email or text message with the relevant tracking details and delivery timeslots if your details have been provided. Most of these services are next day tracked, if there is a tracking number available we'll display it against your order.
Standard Deliveries will be made between 0700 and 2100 hrs on the working day (Mon-Sat) immediately following the weekday of dispatch by Vets4u.
Special delivery options, eg Special by 1pm, are not processed from from time of making the order, and are courier time frames from point of dispatch only. I.e. - "Orders made on Friday night out of business hours ordered on a Special by 1pm, may not be dispatched until Monday and arrive Tuesday by 1pm".
How much will it cost?
All orders with Vets4u to mainland UK are tracked and next day to ensure your products arrive in the best possible time and condition. For this high-quality delivery option, a charge of £5.49 applies to all standard items for UK orders and may change in line with UK rate changes.
Exceptions
- Temperature sensitive products will be sent next day delivery with DX courier to ensure the fastest possible delivery of your order. The items will also be dispatched within special insulated packaging to maintain optimal temperatures for the product. This will incur a charge of £9.99. - Controlled Drugs - certain prescription drugs are classified as Controlled and can only be sent via appropriate couriers as they have to be fully tracked.
What if I’m not in?
Delivery Instructions - instructions for delivery drivers can be left in the "Delivery instructions" box at the checkout. In addition you can contact us with any special requirements prior to our dispatch.
Royal Mail - Royal Mail don’t have an ‘instructions’ service for most parcels. If they can’t leave it with a neighbour or in a safe place, follow the instructions on their card.
In all instances we cannot be held liable for any parcels which go missing when left as instructed.
Prescriptions
If you order any product that requires a prescription from a vet, we will be unable to process the order until we have received a valid prescription issued and signed by your vet.
All Veterinary Medicines will be dispatched via Next day tracked. All Cold chain deliveries will be sent Next day tracked and signed for. This means cold chain items will require a signature confirmed receipt of delivery.
Click and Collect
If you select this option, when your order is ready, we will send you an email telling you when you can come and collect it.
Regular Delivery Service
We offer a regular delivery option for repeat and regular medicines, foods and products. These form part of a subscription package.
Shipping to the EU
We are able to ship to the EU on a case by case basis. please email us at mail@vets4u.uk or call 0116 218 4244 for more information.
International Delivery
We deliver most products worldwide, excluding Cold chain products due to inability to maintain efficacy of the medicine between 2-8 degrees. We may be able to supply prescription medicines that have been prescribed by a UK RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon on a prescription that conforms to the VMR 2013 prescription requirements.
BFPO
The British Forces Post Office provides a postal service to HM Forces, separate from that provided by Royal Mail in the United Kingdom. BFPO addresses are used for the delivery of mail in the UK and around the world.
