Good morning, I am an expat now living in Spain with my Labrador dog. He has allergies requiring him to need one x 16mg apoquel tablet per day. The cost of the tablets in Spain has increased alarmingly in the last few months. I am in the UK in March and can provide a Spanish Vets prescription which I can email to you in advance, are you able to accept this and post the tablets to my son’s house in Wales? Hi Simon , in short yes that is fine. the VMD stipulates the below, and so long as the prescription is written in English and is legal and valid, we can support your request.
Vets and pharmacists may export medicines directly to countries within the EU against prescriptions from vets in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland, provided that:
- they are satisfied the prescription for the product to be exported is valid
- the medicines will be used in the country where the prescription was written
