What conditions does Milpro Tablets treat?
Milpro prescription medication for use in dogs and cats, containing the drugs Milbemycin Oxime and Praziquantel, used to treat a variety of parasitic worms. It is licensed for use to treat and/or prevent roundworms, tapeworms, lungworm, heartworm, whipworm, and hookworm.

Cestodes:
Dipylidium caninum,
Taenia spp.,
Echinococcus spp.,
Mesocestoides spp.
Nematodes:
Ancylostoma caninum,
Toxocara canis,
Toxascaris leonina,
Trichuris vulpis,
Thelazia callipaeda (see specific treatment schedules under “Amounts to be administered and administration route”,
Crenosoma vulpis (Reduction of the level of infection),
Angiostrongylus vasorum (Reduction of the level of infection by immature adult (L5) and adult parasite stages
The product can also be used in the prevention of heartworm diseases
(Dirofilaria immitis), if concomitant treatment against cestodes is indicated.
How do Milpro Tablets work?
The drugs on the product kill parasitic worms or their larval stages, by affecting the cell membranes.
How should I administer Milpro Tablets to my pet?
The tablets should be given by mouth, so orally, according to the instructions on the label your vet has written. Wash hands after use.
What is the correct dosage of Milpro Tablets for my animal's weight and species?
The correct dose for your animal is as prescribed by your vet. Your vet will follow the data sheet for the medication prescribed and for some medications will adjust this taking into consideration your animal's medical history.
How long should I continue with Milpro Tablets for?
You should continue for the length of time your vet prescribed the medication for. Please read the label your vet has attached to the medication. If you suspect that your pet may be having an adverse reaction to a medication, please contact your vet for advice on continuing the medication.
What should I do if I miss a dose of Milpro Tablets?

Is Milpro Tablets safe for dogs?
It is safe at the prescribed dose, however any animal can have an individual adverse reaction to any drug.
Can Milpro Tablets be used for long term use?
It can be used if your vet prescribes it. Resistance of parasites to some products can develop over time.
Are Milpro and Milbermax the same?
It contains the same drugs.
Can Milpro tablets be crushed?
It should be given with or after food. The tablets can be crushed in food, they are flavoured.
Is Milpro chewable?
They are not specifically made to be ‘chewable ‘but you can put them in food.
Are there any side effects of Milpro Tablets for dogs?
Studies with milbemycin oxime indicate that the margin of safety in certain dogs of Collie or related breeds is less than in other breeds. In these dogs, the recommended dose should be strictly observed. The tolerance of the product in young puppies from these breeds has not been investigated.Clinical signs in Collies are similar to those seen in the general dog population when overdosed (see also section "Overdose").
