It is used to treat epilepsy often used in combination with phenobarbitone for cases where fits are difficult to control. It can be used alone if a dog has pre-existing liver disease or fits only rarely prior to treatment.

How does Epilease work?

It contains potassium bromide which has been shown to have an effect on fits in combination with phenobarbitone.

How should I administer Epilease to my pet?

It comes as a capsule to be given unbroken by mouth as directed by your vet

Do not break capsules. • Do not use this product if you have known sensitivity to bromide. • Wash hands thoroughly after use. • Read package leaflet for full user warnings.

What is the correct dosage of Epilease for my animal's weight and species?

The correct dose for your animal is as prescribed by your vet. Your vet will follow the data for the medication prescribed and for some medications will adjust this taking into consideration your animal's medical history.

How long should I continue with Epilease for?

You should continue for the length of time your vet prescribed the medication for. Please read the label your vet has attached to the medication. If you suspect that your pet may be having an adverse reaction to a medication, please contact your vet for advice on continuing the medication.
