How does Advantage flea treatment work? 
It is applied topically to the skin, spreads across the fat layer and kills fleas on contact with the product. 

How good is Advantage flea treatment? 
It is a product which states in its data sheet that it kills fleas within one day or treatment and prevents further infestation for 4 weeks. 

Can you buy Advantage flea control over the counter? 
You can buy it from a vet, a pharmacist or an SQP, a suitably qualified person. It does not require a prescription. You can also buy it online from a veterinary pharmacy registered with the VMD, such as vets4u.uk.   

How often do you apply Advantage flea control? 
Every 4 weeks. 

How quickly does Advantage kill fleas? 
After a day.

Why does my cat still have fleas after using advantage? 
You may not have treated the environment so new fleas may be hatching out, so you may need more than one treatment and need to repeat it after 4 weeks or the fleas may have developed a resistance to the product.
 

Can I apply Advantage flea treatment early? 
It is best to use it as directed, not early.

No, it does not claim to do this.
